Hal Stern

Hal Stern ImageStarting in the early days of Sun’s blogging system, Hal has been writing about technology, science fiction, and where the two meet for about five years. Looking for a place to vent about the New Jersey Devils and his attempts to play golf (with or without helmets), Hal discovered WordPress. Despite failing 6th grade art, he’s been working on customizing themes, integrating Twitter, Facebook, and cross-referencing his multiple blog personalizaties. This book began as a rant about the lack of a guide to the WordPress internals after a particularly ugly (even for Hal) piece of theme code repeatedly bit him.

Hal adores science fiction, the NJ Devils, baseball, ice hockey, spicy food, rollerblading and abusing the French language.
